About The Author


Iain Ridgewalker is a Scottish writer, now based in rural Angus. After a career in senior business leadership roles across the UK, he has returned to his long-held love of writing. New Year's Days, his debut novel, showcases Ridgewalker's ability to construct ambitiously layered dual-narrative speculative fiction while maintaining a deeply human centre. His restrained, understated style guides readers into spaces where the ordinary collides with the extraordinary in ways that feel unsettlingly believable. Ridgewalker's "feel a lot, reveal a little" approach to emotion simmers beneath the surface of his taut prose. It is never effusive or melodramatic - but when it breaks through, it lands with a quiet, devastating force. Today, he lives and works from his rustic former farmhouse in a picturesque valley of the Scottish hills.
